JAMMU, Dec 15: A senior police officer posted as SSP of a district in Jammu region has been desperate for the transfer of a Sub-Inspector to his district.
The SI, presently posted in CID wing of police, is said to be quite thick with the SSP, according to police sources.
The officer was posted as district SP in October last year. Three months after his posting, he approached PHQ, seeking the SI's transfer to his district. Accepting his proposal, the PHQ transferred the SI from CID to Jammu zone as per its order No 555.
The concerned CID officer, however, kept sitting over the PHQ order and did not relieve the SI for nine months. The district SP then brought the matter to the PHQ notice. Sources said taking a serious note of the conduct of CID officer, PHQ issued another order on December 10 last, directing him to relieve the SI soon and intimate it.
After he was relieved, he would report to ZPHQ for his further posting. "ZPHQ has also been asked to immediately post the SI in the SSP's district. The SSP is also asked to intimate PHQ as and when the SI joins in his district," sources said.
Sources said the SI was very close to the district SP and he wanted to post him as the SHO of a police station in his district. |
