JKSSC spends money on luxurious offices, forgets ground maintenance Sports and Politics 12/15/2016 11:50:09 PM Nitish Bhardwaj Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 15: J&K State Sports Council spends money on luxurious offices but does not have funds to maintain the main playground at Maulana Azad (MA) Stadium in Jammu district which is in wretched condition for last many years. At the MA Stadium ground, the pavilion is full of grass and cracks; garbage is littered around the ground. Sources told Early Times that the Centre has allotted a huge amount of money for the maintenance of MA Stadium, but still the higher ups don't pay any attention to maintain it. A player said that this ground can be utilized for the national and international matches if it was maintained properly. He said that higher ups are not performing their duty sincerely. "They are here to take care of the basic facilities to be provided to players which includes neat and clean ground, hygienic environment and sports equipment," he said.
