Naeem says probe order not withdrawn
KVIB recruitment Scam
2/26/2018 11:00:54 PM
Early Times Report
Anantnag, 26 Feb: Works Minister Naeem Akther on Monday said that government hasn't withdrawn the probe order issued by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday.
"There was a complaint against one boy who showed an act of grace and declined the job offer but still Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba ordered a probe and Chief Secretary has been directed to probe it. The matter will be probed and action will be taken," the Minister told media here at Qazigund in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
However, Nayeem Akther was quick to blame principal opposition party-National Conference- for originating 'Back door' route for making recruitments in different departments.
"We recruited over ten thousand special police officers (SPO's) but no one came out to raise finger over the recruitment process so stop generalizing things," he said
"People (NC) who are exaggerating this issue have actually originated back door route for making recruitments. This government had decided to regularize the services of sixty thousand causal employees without enquiring who actually employed them and why," Akther added.
He is the district to inaugurate two more stretches of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. Accompanied by the officers of district administration and R&B department, the minister also visited the under construction Pirpangal (Qazigund-Banihal) tunnel.
Important to recall, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti ordered a high-level probe into the appointments of Jammu and Kashmir Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB) on Sunday after nepotism allegation.
However Chief Minister's cousin Aroot Madni, son of Sartaj Madni, whose appointment as Executive Officer created controversy, declined to accept the offer shortly the probe order was issued.
PDP Spokesperson Rafi Mir told media that Aroot Madni has voluntarily declined the job offer as Executive Officer (KVIB). Resignation letter of Junior Madni was also widely circulated on social media sites.
