Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 26: The open criticism of a turncoat Minister of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) by a senior party leader in a function at Kathua, has left the Minister totally bewildered, who has now been trying hard to show massive public support by attending staged managed public durbars.
Sources informed Early Times that the senior BJP leader, while inaugurating Passport Office in Kathua openly trained his guns on a turncoat BJP Minister, who was blamed for doing everything for his personal benefits rather than for the public.
The BJP leader openly criticized this turncoat Minister for creating unnecessary hurdles in the establishment of a park, his repeated attempts to shift Passport office from Kathua to Lakhanpur, attempts to shift Medical College Kathua outside Kathua city and hurdles in the establishment of Engineering College.
Feeling heat of the criticism, the turncoat Minister yesterday attended a stage-managed Public-Durbar, organized by a political organization in district Samba. "The higher officials of the department including Chief, his subordinate, head of the department of District Samba and some lower rung officials were all present in the function", sources said, adding that though there was no issue regarding the department, whose officials had attended the function.
Sources further said that as per the rulebook the officials of any department would not attend any political function but it was uncertain as under-pressure from the Minister, these officials attended the function or they had himself turned up in the function, only to remain in the good books of the Minister.
"The same political organized was invited by the Minister during inauguration of a development project of the department in Nagrota area. The office bearers of this organization are in close coordination with the Minister, who have organized this public-durbar on the instructions of the Minister, so that the turncoat Minister could show his presence", sources said, adding that earlier also the Minister had got himself felicitated by some of his party workers in district Kathua as the most successful cabinet Minister in Jammu and Kashmir.
