Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 26: Aroot Madni, son of the senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party Sartaj Madni, sending a resignation letter to the Secretary of JKVIB has given a chance to the PDP leaders to bury the scandal by targeting opposition National Conference.
Soon after Aroot dispatched his resignation letter, the PDP leaders went into a damage control mode and launched a scathing attack at the National Conference. Waheed ur Rehman Parra, J&K, Youth PDP, President tweeted: "Probe more @OmarAbdullah Suddenly you're concerned about Youth. What about 100Cr scam In JKCA courtesy your own family, BOPEE scam, Waqf board, MLC scam Haji Yousuf's and NPA's of Vijay Maliya and the list goes on!"
"Parra's immature reaction proved that instead of acknowledging the blunder committed by his government he wanted to divert the attention of the people," said an analyst.
"PDP is now talking about opening the scandals which were reported during erstwhile NC-Congress regime as it's caught in scams now. When it was in opposition it used to claim that whenever party will come into power it would get a

l the scams re-investigated. After assuming power it forgot about its promises and made no attempt to get these scandals probed again," the analyst said.
He said, "PDP and NC are sailing in the same boat now. PDP is repeating what NC did when it was in power."
Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while reacting to Parra's tweet wrote: "Why should the probe be withdrawn? Madni declining the job doesn't wash away the fraud & nepotism. This issue must be probed by a High Court monitored investigation."
In order to appease the PDP top brass party MLC Yasir Reshi joined the bandwagon. "There should be an independent inquiry to all scams from previous to present govt. Be it wholesale rate of MBBS seats by you (Mushtaq Peer)or JKCA's loot by Senior Abdullah.@jkpdp believes in transparency and accountability."
An analyst said, "It's strange that PDP leader is talking about transparency and accountability. The government headed by his party lacks both. PDP leaders cannot bury the hatchet. Aroot Madni's appointment is just a tip of the ice berg. More skeletons will tumble out in coming days."
