Jammu, Feb 26: Government College of Education, Canal Road Jammu today observed National Science Day under the theme for the year 2018 " Science and Technology for sustainable future" in the college premises under the supreme guidance of H.O.D Science Department Prof. Dr Jyoti Parihar. A symposium on the theme was organised wherein the Chief Guest for the occasion was the officiating Principal of the college Prof. Anju Bala. Different speakers presented their views related to recycling, reusing , Pollution, Global warming, appropriate use of resources and many more related topics on which the attention of the youth is the prime need of the hour. The symposium was followed by Slogan Writing competition on the theme Science and Technology for sustainable future wherein more than 20 students participated with full zeal and jest. The event was adjudged by Dr Rajinder Kour, Prof. Baljinder Kour and Prof. Rubina Yasmeen. The first, second and third prize went to Priyanka, Palak, and Ashish respectively. Comparing was done by Ankush Raina and Vote of thanks was presented by Kulvinder Singh. |
