Criminologists Society organizes awareness camp regarding crime related issues

JAMMU, Mar 21: To bring change in attitudes and thinking of society towards crime related issues, especially those concerning women, child and youth issues, Criminologists Society of J&K organized social awareness and medial camp.
The programme was organized by social activist Parshotam Singh and Sneh Bali, in which Health Minister Bali Bhagat was the Chief Guest, and Vikram Randhawa, MLC, Balbir Singh Manhas, Former Chairman J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation and Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, President, Criminologists Society were the special guests and key speakers.
The programme had been organized to provide free medical aid and to take forward the objectives of Criminologists Society to bring behavioural changes in the society by using special designed modules and help in creating a lawful society in the state.
After inaugurating the camp Bali Bhagat appreciated the efforts of organizers and Criminologists Society, which is laying emphasis on building characters and thereby reducing pressure on law enforcement activities. He said that he would ensure better co-ordination between his department and Criminologists Society, as suggested, to bring more positive results in nation building activities.
Vikram Randhawa, MLC, also assured of his and his party's help in Gandhi Nagar constituency and said that such initiatives are a must for welfare of society.
BS Manhas, Sr. Advocate, urged the youth to stop going towards the path of destruction, who consume drugs and destroy themselves, their families and societies. He appreciated the gesture of organizers, which can be a path changer for the civil society of Jammu.
Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, President, Criminologists Society, while dwelling on the issue said that his organization has motivated and organized thousands of social, political and religious workers to act as force multiplies in raising the moral and ethical benchmarks of youth, which silent movement has brought considerable change in mindsets of people towards the issue of crime.
