| BJP's false promises exposed | | Sadal people remain high & dry | |  Arun Jasrotia

Udhampur, Apr 26: In September 2014 Sadal village which is situated in the hill top area of Panjar in the Panchri area of Udhampur District witnessed devastation when a landslide hit it claiming forty people who got buried alive on September 6, 2014.
After the tragedy politicians promised stars but the poor villagers are still waiting for relief.
Shockingly a ministet holding an important portfolio in Prime Minister Office also failed to fulfil his promises.
He visited Panjar in January 2005 and met with the victims of the Sadal natutal calamity. He said Sadal will be the first smart village of the state.He promised all amenities including beauty parlours etc. The hutments have been made at Panjar as part of the first phase of the smart village project which will be completed by mid-2016.
The promise was forgotten and around 50 families who migrated from Sadal continue to live in temporary shelters. Balwant Singh Mankotia Former MLA Udhampur and State President JKNPP while Talking to Early times said that its very unfortunate that the BJP leader has forgotten his promises. It is shameful, he said. |
