J&K Blind Cricketers flagged off for National Camp

Jammu, Apr 26: Vice Chairman Jammu Sports Council , Ranjeet Kalra today flagged off J&K Blind Cricketers in the presence of Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Former Ranji Player & Member Jammu Sports Council, Ajay Kumar Thakur President J&K Blind Cricket Association, Er.Chetan Kesar Cricket Enthusiast & Proper tier of M/S Siddhi Vinayak Construction Jammu, Madan Mohan former Cricketer, Rajeev Batra and Akash Batra Indian Net Ball Player in an impressive function which is being organized under the Supervision of Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player and Member Sports Council at MA Stadium Jammu. During the function Rajesh Gill Coordinator of the event apprised the Chief Guest that our Specially Able Blind Cricketer team of J&K is regularly playing cricket and participated in the national tournaments in a couple of times with the support of J&K Police. And our players also performed well in the last national tournament which was organized by Cricket Association for the Bind in India at Dehradun. Because of the good performance in the last national tournament our seven players have been selected for the ten days national Coaching camp which is going to be organized by Cricket Association for the Bind in India at Bangalore from 30th April to 9th of May,2018.
while speaking on the occasion Ranjeet Kalra congratulating the Specially abled J&K Cricket players of Blind for their selection in the ten days national coaching camp at Bangalore for their further selection in zonal level matches. Kalra said that it is a honour for him to be associated and to contribute towards the promotion of blind cricketers in the state. He also complimented Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player ,member Sports Council for coordinating, supporting and helping specially abled cricketers of the state. He also thanked the Er.Chetan Kesar for sponsoring the railway tickets of the selected players. The selected boys includes Rafiq Ahmad (Srinagar),Wasim Akram (Reasi), Mohd. Azam. (Anantnag), Rajesh Singh (Doda),Manpreet Singh (Jammu), Irfan Ahmad (Srinagar) and Angrez Singh (Kathua).
