SMVDU ranked 71st in ‘The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2020’

Katra, April 24: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is listed among the top 100 Universities in the World and is ranked at 71st position in Sustainable Development Goals: affordable and clean energy category of The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020.
The list published by The Times Higher Education includes 361 universities from 66 countries. At National level, this University stands at 4th position and is the only University/Institution from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir that got ranked in any of the parameter in these recent Impact Rankings. Prof. RK Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, said that the quality education and world class research has always been a priority of the university.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in Research, Outreach and Stewardship. The state university has taken many initiatives to create extensive university-industry cooperation, and a well-established Technology Business Incubation Centre caters startups and innovators. Previously, SMVD University has been ranked among top 100 Engineering and Management Institutions, and in top 150 universities in the country by NIRF2019, MHRD, GoI. Prof. RK Sinha, VC, SMVDU congratulated the SMVDU fraternity for achieving this milestone.
