16 persons discharged from TRC Salambad, eight patients recover from SD-Uri

BARAMULLA, Apr 24: Sixteen (16) persons including members of Tablighi Jamaat were discharged today from quarantine centre TRC Salamabad Uri after their tests came negative. In-charge quarantine center TRC Salamabad Uri Tariq Hashim oversaw their discharge and transportation to their respective homes.
Sources said that the group like all others before them was under proper medical supervision period and was discharged after clearance from doctors and health authorities with the strict directions to remain in home quarantine. While as some of the people were hospitalized for treatment, after they were suspected for infection, adding they are negative but as precautionary measures their tests were conducted, said sources.
They informed that a group of people were discharged from Government Medical Collage Baramulla, after their tests were found negative for the deadly Corona Virus infection. These patients hail from different villages of Uri town and the common masses have taken a sigh of relief as many patients were discharged from Baramulla and Uri centers and they were tested repeatedly and all these tests were found negative.
Meanwhile there are reports from Kupwara district that four more cases were found positive and they hail from the Red Zones of Anderhama and Drugmulla. Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg has confirmed that four more positives from a single family in Anderhama, all contacts of earlier positives have already been put under hospital quarantine.
“But two recoveries as well today, taking total recovered number to eight, total number of active cases stands at 37 for Kupwara now,” said DC Kupwara. He said that sampling and testing process of all traced contacts has concluded in all Red zones barring contacts of positive reported today.
It is pertinent to mention here that all the Deputy Commissioners of North Kashmir have appealed and advised the general public to follow the orders, advisories and no social/religious congregation is conducted in violation of the order that have been already issued. They have advised and ordered the people to offer prayers, including Taraweeh and Friday congregational prayers in their respective homes.
