4/24/2020 9:31:07 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, April 24: Bhartriya Mazdoor Sangh (MBS) has appealed to Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu for issuing directions to Deputy Commissioners and Labour Department to provide Ration material to migrant labours who are stranded in thousands in J&K UT which is evident from seeing the lists prepared by the labour department and forwarded to concerned Dy. Commissioners.
Harbans choudhary senior leader of BMS has alleged that no proper Ration material has been provided to actual migrant labours those who has given their names to labour department and whenever we enquire from labour officials they says that request and lists has been forwarded to concerned officials only in some cases where powers are delegated to tehsildars they are providing the rations as per the list which we have seen practically in tehsildar south Jammu and in some cases social organisations are providing langers and or dry ration i.e. Atta Chawal 5 kg to 7 kg and in most of the cases workers are at the verge of starvation.
It is further demanded that Nodal officers and labour officials be made accountable Prime Minister has provided thousand of crores rupees to states particularly for providing all necessary helps to poor migrant labours but it seems that govt officials are not seriously discharging their duties and poor workers are suffering and their is lot of resentment is growing among them.
