Jandial Biradari cancels 7th May ‘Mail’
4/24/2020 10:59:28 PM
Jammu, Apr 24: The All Jandial Sabha has announced cancellation of biradari’s bi-annual ‘mail’ falling on 7th May, 2020 on account of Baisakh Purnima (Budh Purnima). This decision was taken by the Working Committee of All Jandial Sabha today after reviewing the situation in Jammu and elsewhere in the country in the backdrop of prevailing threat of pandemic Coronavirus and consequent nationwide lockdown and other restrictions imposed by the Govt on social and religious gatherings. The general view was that neither it was possible to organise the ‘mail’ in these circumstances nor safe to allow any gathering at the devasthan of Baba Sehejnath ji.
The opinion of the members of ‘Chella’ Committee was also sought on mobile and they too suggested cancellation of the mail.
Accordingly, the Working Committee unanimously decided to cancel the forthcoming mail in the interest of the safety of the members of the biradari. However, the puja and other rituals would be performed at the sanctum sanctorum by the pujaris.
