Udhampur Civil Society remembers Kishtwar martyrs on Shaheedi Divas

UDHAMPUR, May 10: Udhampur Civil Society paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Kishtwar who laid down their lives while fighting with anti-national forces on the occasion of Shaheedi Divas here today.
The Society ensured that all the protocols associated with the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown are followed while paying tribute to the martyrs. Maintaining social distancing strictly, the Society members lit candles as a mark of respect to the martyrs.
Every year on May 10, Shaheedi Diwas is being organized to pay floral tributes to martyrs for their supreme sacrifice for nation but this year due to Covid-19 people were appealed to light earthen lamps and candles.
To remember martyrs sacrifice hundreds of people also tweet on twitter #Shaheedi Divas Kishtwar. Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Parihar, civil society member, said that it was only due to the scarifies of these martyrs that evil designs of anti-national elements fails to succeed in Kishtwar and other areas of erstwhile Doda district.
He added that more than hundred martyrs sacrificed their lives for unity and integrity of India when militancy was at peak in Kishtwar and others parts of erstwhile Doda district. Parihar demanded from government to build a memorial in the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for nation so that coming generations could take inspiration from their valour.
