Salahuddin’s remarks ‘fixed match with Pak to promote TRF’
5/10/2020 11:45:49 PM

Early times Report

Jammu, May 10: Even as Hizb supremo Syed Salahuddin recently said “Our policies led to failures” in Kashmir, the Indian intelligence agencies have received inputs that it was a fixed match between him and Pakistan to pretend no links with the newly founded terror outfit, The Resistance Front.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have received inputs that Pakistan wants to sponsor the new terror outfit The Resistance Front or TRF, which is actually a shadow of the Lashkar and the Hizb in Kashmir.
A top police official said through this move Pakistan wants to send a misleading message that it was not involved in the terror activities in Kashmir any further.
The intelligence agencies believe that Salah Ud Din must have given his recent statement on the instructions of the ISI that “Despite the setback in Handwara, Indian forces continue to be in a strong position.”
Police have inputs that the Hizb is helping Pakistan to pretend that it has given up sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir and that now terrorism in the valley was “strictly homegrown.”
“This all is being done to show that the TRF is a local outfit whereas the reality is that it is new name of Pakistan sponsored terror,” said a police official on the condition of anonymity.
It is pertinent to mention that TRF has been active in Kashmir since February 2020 when it had claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on the paramilitary CRPF.
The TRF had also claimed responsibility for the recent deadly attacks on the Indian Army and the CRPF in north Kashmir’s Handwara frontier.
As per the sources in intelligence agencies, most of the recent infiltration of suicide squads from Pakistan has been in the name of TRF.
“TRF is nothing but old wine in new bottle … Our forces are fully prepared to take them head on,” said a senior police official on the condition of anonymity.
