Senior cricketers come forward to help needy grounds men, umpires, scorers

Jammu, May 10 : A great gesture was shown by senior cricketers of UT of Jammu and Kashmir towards the needy grounds men of Science Collage Cricket Ground, Parade Ground Satwari Ground Jammu, Umpires and Scorers as they distributed a cash amount of Rs.1000, ration items which includes eight items for one and half months at Science Collage Cricket Ground Jammu.
Senior cricketers including Rajesh Gill, Rakesh Koul, Sudhir Singh, Amit Gupta, Raj Khujaria, Avinash Kumar, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan and Amit Kumar, Naveen Koul cricketers of media team made the gesture. Rajesh Gill former Ranji player informed that 20 needy persons including grounds men, umpires and scorers of different grounds were nominated for their help by giving them a cash amount of Rs.1000 and ration items and masks. “It is just a goodwill gesture from the senior cricketers to the needy persons who always shown great dedication and work round the clocks in different grounds for the promotion of cricket and the cricketers,” said Rajesh. The donations provided by senior cricketers include ration items by Avinash Kumar, Rs.4000 by Rakesh Koul, Rs.4000 by Raj Khujaria, Rs.2000 by Rajesh Gill, Rs.1000 by Sudhir Singh, Rs.1000 by Amit Gupta, Rs.1000 by Saleem Ur Rehman, Rs.1000 by Madan Mohan, Rs1000 by Amit Kumar
