With just 2 recoveries, Anantnag has highest number of active cases across J&K UT

Srinagar, May 10: With just two recoveries, Anantnag is the only district across Jammu and Kashmir where active positive cases of Coronavirus have crossed 100 mark.
As per the official record, Anantnag district has 123 number of positive cases with, 119 active cases. Thankfully, today 2 people recovered in Anantnag district.
District administration Anantnag has already declared a number of areas as red zones after the cases of Coronavirus started surfacing from these areas. The red-zones declared as hot-spots include villages like Pushroo, Kharpora while Shangus, Andoora, Ogjibian, Jogigund, Pati Pahlo fall in the buffer zone category but still have been sealed as they lie adjacent to red zones.
Bandipora is the second district though very close to Srinagar on top of the table. It has 58 active positive cases with high recovery rate. Out of 134 cases of Coronaviurs that emerged from the district Banipora, 75 have recovered while one has died.
In Bandipora, Parray Mohalla, Chandergeer, Batagund, SK Bala, Hakbara, Naidkhi, Gund Jehanger and Madwan. Kunan, Gondi Kesar, Nowgam,Gundi Daichina are declared as red zones.
Like Bandipora, Baramulla has also 60 active positive cases, but unlike Bandipora, the district Baramulla has lowest recovery rate. Out of total 108 cases of Covid-19 cases, 45 patients have recovered while 3 have died of this lethal infection.
Sulinda, Chektan, Chanpora, Chandiloora, Hariwatnoo, Kampora, Gutlipora, Katipora, Qaziora Kilwara, Kralpora, Khajipora, Swan, Ogmuna villages in Tangmarg, while Sultan Daki and Amlok Colony in Uri have been declared as red zones in Baramulla.
South Kashmir’s Shopian district saw a spike in the cases in recent past. The district has 52 active positive cases. Out of total 103 cases, 51 have recovered so for. Sedow, Ramnagri, Sindho Shirmal, Bemnipora, Memendar, Palpora, Heerpora, Kanipora villages fall in the red zone list of district Shopian.
Srinagar city has 57 active positive cases with high recovery rate like Bandipora. Out of 136 cases of Coronaviurs that emerged from the city, 76 have recovered while three patients including a young man have died.
Ahmed Nagar, Lal Bazar, Hawal and Nowshera, Nishat, Khayam, Iddgah and Goripora, Chattabal, Hyderpora, Bemina, Jawahar Nagar, Natipora, Lasjan and Tengpora have already been declared red zones in Sinagar city.
