Jammu, Sept 18: An erroneous SRO in the Public Works Department has punctured the tall claims of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to have brought transparency into the functioning of the administration.
Top sources within the government told Early Times that for the past 14 years, the seething errors in SRO 297 of the Gazetted Engineering services haven’t been addressed due to which deserving candidates are made to suffer for no fault of theirs.
Sources divulged that SRO 297 was enacted by the government on 14th September 2006. However, SRO was found infested with major errors, typographical mistakes, ironic and bizarre clauses.
The utter non- seriousness of the previous regimes in Jammu and Kashmir could be gauged from the fact that for more than 14 years, these errors could not be omitted out and addressed. “These errors and wrongful clauses are embarrassing the department. Official sources told Early Times that in brazen violation of norms, Omar Abdullah as the then Chief Minister had got two bungalows allotted for himself on same Gupkar.

Jammu, Sept 18: Over one dozen employees have continued to enjoy attachments at the office of Director School Education Jammu, despite administrative department cancelling all the attachments.
According to sources, the administrative wing of School Education Department had cancelled the attachment of all the teaching fraternity members including teachers, masters, lecturers, lab assistants, Rehbar-e-Talim teachers beside others.
After cancelation of all these attachments, the administrative wing had directed the Directorate of School Education to repatriate all those attached teaching fraternity back to their original places of postings.

Jammu, Sept 18: The Centre has decided to send a high-level team of experts under National Centre for Disease Control director Dr S K Singh to Jammu which has been witnessing a spurt of Covid-19 cases over the last few days.
The team will have Dr Vijay Hadda, professor of pulmonary critical care at AIIMS-Delhi as its other member.
