Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tourney Semis line-up drawn as Sainik Colony wins

JAMMU, Apr 9: Semifinals position has been cleared with the entry of Sainik Colony Club in the last four stages of the ongoing Ist Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tournament at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Other three teams already in the semifinals are Young Heroes, Param Football Club and Vijay Heroes. Now, in the semifinals, Sainik Colony shall take on Young Heroes while Param FC shall be playing against Vijay Heroes.
In today's quarterfinal match, Sainik Colony defeated the strong opponent in NGR Club 5-4 via tie-breaker. Unable to field their original side, the NGR Club played with boys from J&K Police, Vijay Club and J&K SRTC. The winning team of Sainik Colony too fielded a couple of outside players.
Earlier, in the given time the match ended in a 1-1 draw. It was NGR Club, who took the early lead netting the ball in the very third minute of the match to the surprise of fighting opponent. Arshad was the man, who brought in the first blood.
However, the lead was soon leveled by NGR Club when young Ankit Mehta dodged the advancing goal-keeper in the seventh minute for a simple goal thereby made it 1-1. It was followed by dilly dallying battle but result eluded both the sides.
Later, in tie-breaker, Sainik Colony emerged triumph. Bhanu Kumar, Niteshwar Singh, Vinay and Dharampal were the scorers from winning side while Dimple and Gagandeep Singh missed the target. From NGR Club, Mohit Verma, Chandu and Nainjot Singh netted the ball while Tanpreet Singh, Aman and Heera missed.
In this high voltage game, Jeewandeep Singh, Sandeep, Nainjot Singh, Raja and Chanu of NGR Club shown yellow card for their foul play while Vinay Kumar of Sainik Colony was penalized by centre referee, Vikramjeet Singh for foul play.
For making good saves, especially in the tie-breaker, Sainik Colony goal-keeper, Bhanu Kumar adjudged man of the match.
Today's quarterfinal officiated by the technical penal including Vikramjeet Singh, Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar and Rohit Kumar.
