Even after 18 months Jammu Patwari's yet to get stipend | Open discrimination with Jammu region | | Asif Iqbal Naik Jammu, Apr 9: In a glaring example of indiscrimination with the Jammu Region, the Director Regional Training Institute Jammu fails to release monthly stipend in favour of 750 Patwari's of Jammu region who completed 9 months training in the said Government institute 18 months back. As per the details available with "Early Times" these 750 Patwari's were selected along with 750 Patwari's of Kashmir Division through exam conducted by BOPEE in the year 2012 as per the Government order number 201/REV/NG of 2012 dated 13-08-2012, these selected candidates were assured a stipend of Rs 3000 to these 1500 pass out aspirants from Jammu as well Kashmir, but till date 750 Patwari's of Jammu Division did not get a single peny as stipend while 750 Patwari's hailing from Kashmir Division get four month stipend out of 9 month training course. Many victims of the Government apathy informed the "Early Times" that despite being in the service since last one and half year, the assured stipend was yet to be released in their favour. They said that they even meet the Commissioner Secretary Revenue few months ago demanding immediate release of their stipend, but added that the Commissioner Secretary put the ball into the court of Director Regional Training Institute Jammu with the view that it is his (Director Regional Training Institute Jammu) duty to arrange the funds and release the stipend in their favour. After getting unsatisfactory response from the Commissioner Secretary Revenue, they also approach the Revenue Minister for the same, but as usual they only get assurance from the Minister and added that despite Minister's assurance they get nothing. They said that department in the month of November 2012 asked them to submit some documents including account numbers with the Patwars of Kashmir region which we had submitted in the FCR Jammu office but they received nothing till date as even not a single penny were deposited in those accounts submitted by them. They once again urged up on the concern authorities to release their pending stipend so that they could not suffer any more on this account. |
