Hunt to nab cop involved in selling fuel of 'police vehicle' | | | Early times report
Jammu, Apr 9: In a strange incident the law enforcing person was found breaking the law by selling fuel from a police vehicle but managed to give slip to the police team which raided the spot of illegal deal at Bakshinagar and arrested one person along with 70 liters of diesel, this evening. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the cop who is evading his arrest. The arrested has been identified as Chandan Singh of Jaffer-e- Chack, police sources said. "On specific information a police party reached a spot falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station, said police sources further adding, "police arrested one person alongwith 70 liters of diesel while the man in police vehicle who was allegedly selling the fuel of an official vehicle to accused managed to escape from the spot. Police sources said that a case in this connection has been registered while arrested has been put on questioning to ascertain the identity of escaping police official however a manhunt is on to nab the cop who is evading his arrest. |
