Hiranagar, Apr 9 : Subash Chander Gupta today toured border area and campaigned extensively for Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress party candidate for Udhampur- Doda- Kathua Parliamentary constituency. Gupta addressed public meetings in various border villages of Hiranagar constituency at Gurha Sarkari, Kunthal, Khanak, Mandyal, Karol Vidho, Bobiya, Ladhwal, Karol Mathrian, Karol Krishan and Chak Changa . While addressing the public meeting Subash Chander Gupta urged the people to cast their vote for Congress party in the coming parliamentary election. He asserted that India's strength lies in its unity in diversity which is very much in the lines of the sprit of constitution of the Congress Party. Congress has always worked for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society In appreciation of party candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad, Gupta said that during his small tenure of Chief Minister Azad initiated several development works. He counted some of the land mark achievement of Azad as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and as Union Health Minister. UPA Government has enacted various important legislatures over the past ten years, some of them are also implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and which have already shown positive results, he added. |
