Srinagar, Apr 22 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mahbooba Mufti today accused National Conference of killing panchayat members owing allegiance to PDP.
During her road show in South Kashmir, Mehbooba lashed out at NC accusing it of eliminating the PDP panchs and sarpanchs in areas where PDP has made deep inroads much to NC's disappointment.
She said killing of village head, his son and Namabardar in Tral area yesterday is one such example in which NC used its men and machinery to kill people for their personal benefits.
She alleged that NC is employing all coercive efforts to create an environment of fear in areas like Tral village of South Kashmir where people love to vote for PDP and where people have made up their minds to uproot the tyrant NC mechanism.
"Beware of NC killing Spree, NC can sponsor More Tral type attacks in coming days and can also employ its men to paste threatening posters across Kashmir to create panic and stop people from voting so that they can easily win, " Mehbooba said
Without naming Srinagar District Mehbooba said that in some areas where according to her NC has gained strong hold up to 20%, never ever any political activist is killed because according to her if NC employs the same target killing mechanism in such areas too then it will have to pack up their bag and baggage and shift to some other parts of the country.
She also said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are well aware of the achievements of coalition government led by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and alleged that rape and murder of two Girls in Shopian,
Killing of 120 youth on the streets of Kashmir in 2010, murder of Haji Yousuf, substandard drug scam, BOPEE scam, Food scam and other scams is what according to her Omar Abdullah could do for the people of Jammu and Kashmir during his tenure.
The killing of a Congress Sarpanch, his son and a Nambardar at Tral has scared the people. So much so that they may go for poll boycott if proper measures are not put in place. |
