FD employee arrested for getting woman gang raped, trafficking

Jammu, Apr 22: Entangled into an inquiry of a murder, a notorious Janipur based woman, who works in the Forest Department as Computer Assistant , was arrested for her alleged role in dragging girls into the flesh trade at her residence in Roop Nagar area today.
The woman was arrested by a police based on the complaint of a victim from Punjab. From her residence police also seized some porn material, used and un used condoms and hidden cameras meant for snooping.
The accused identified as Shahida Parveen wife of Anil Kotwal, was allegedly running a business of flesh trade, in the area, and police was receiving about thirty two complaints of her that some policemen and politicians are frequent in her brothel house, which had evoked resentment in the entire area. While police was laying a trap, a Punjab based newly married woman , lodged a complaint with police alleging that she was gang raped in the brothel house of Shahida. In her complaint she alleged that she was lured by her of suitable job and was taken to her residence, where she was o gang raped. She was also threatened with life if she did not remain mum.
Based on the complaint, Janipur police booked her for forcibly getting the woman gang raped, threatening her of life and immoral trafficking act (376,109,342,506 and 4/5 RPC).
Pertinently, the accused is already involved in the vehicle theft case and accordingly a FIR was registered against her in Gandhi Nagar police station in the year 2005.Further,a strong protest demonstration was held outside her residence following the recovery of the dead body of youth at her residence. The incident took place in the year 2009 when a thirty year old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in sector 2 of Roop Nagar area.
Locals spotted a body of youth lying near a house of a 'woman' (Shahida Parveen) and informed Janipura police who reached the spot and took possession of the body. The body was shifted to Government Medical College for postmortem.
Body of the youth was handed over to family after completing all the legal formalities.
Deceased was later identified as 30 year old Vikram Sahani alias Raja son of Kalu Ram resident of Quarter no 88 Rehari Jammu.
A police team conduct search of the house and collect the evidences with the help of experts from forensic lab as the death of youth had no mark. Meanwhile family and friends of the deceased held protest demonstration at Rehari for about two hours, they refused to criminate the body till the woman is not arrested.
They blocked traffic near Rehari and demands immediate probe into the matter. Later, an inquiry in this connection was initiated and the onus of this was entrusted to SP North, which is still pending.
Her questioning was in progress and more revelations and arrests are expected.
