Early Times Report Mandi, Apr 22: In a swift development over the infamous rape case in Mandi, Poonch , wherein a number of accused related to various government departments were involved, the Chief Education Officer Poonch, Abdul Hamid Fani have ordered the immediate suspension of two of its employees and have got them attached to CEO office Poonch. A news story carried by the Early Times yesterday had revealed that some of the government employees in education department have been party to a rape case of Mandi, nearly a month ago and were left scot free without any administrative action having taken against them. The government taking immediate cognizance of the report published in the newspaper suspended two government teachers in this regard. The information says that one Abdul Rehman , a government teacher in Govt Primary School, Dunigam , Mandi was suspended and attached to CEO office Poonch while the other Mohammad Akram , a lab assistant in Government Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi was also meted the same fate . The Early Times which had carried the news story under the caption: JE in BDO office, Shahnaz Ganai's uncle enjoys political patronage: Notorious criminal remains untouched -----included an elaborate account of the felonies committed by a coterie of government employees who are enjoying the influential positions in various departments besides committing gruesome crimes under the nose of the administration. Mohammad Assadullah, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin and resident of Arahi Mandi presently posted as junior Engineer with BDO office Mandi too allegedly involved in a serious of crimes including the blasphemous rape case also , however, till date is evading arrest as no administrative action has been initiated against him so far. CEO Abdul Hamid Fani while talking to Early Times said that as soon as he received the complaints against the employees of his department, he promptly acted and suspended the two employees charged under the crime and investigation against them have been initiated. BDO Mandi, under whom Mohammad Assadullah is posted took a protected stance saying that he has diurected his subordinate to cooperate with the investigating agencies. "I received the complaint FIR against Mohammad Assadullah, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin on April 19 and have directed him to cooperate with the investigating agencies. If proven guilty, appropriate action would be taken against him," said BDO Mandi. The irony of the procedure, however, says that while the education department taking the austerity measures have suspended its two employees, why the RDD department in which Mohammad Assadullah is JE shielding the culprit.
