Jammu, Apr 22: KC Gurukul Public School Paloura Jammu in a unique manner expressed gratitude towards Mother Earth for nurturing humans and observed Earth Day here today in school premises.
Objective of the celebrations is to make young children aware of the importance of hazards of pollution and deforestation.
Vijay Puri, Academic Director spoke on the importance of trees in our environment. She also underlined the need to take up afforestation drive to rejuvenate planet earth with its green blanket. Meanwhile some posters and slogans too were exhibited during the programme to make the students aware about the conservation of forest and harmful effects of deforestation.
Awareness for plantation of saplings, checking toxic pollutants, recycling waste material was highlighted through activities, role playing and songs. |
