PDTU criticizes Govt against ill treatment towards poll staff | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 22: J&K People's Democratic Trade Union (PDTU) has taken a strong exception towards the ill- treatment meted out to the polling staff deployed in the upper reaches of Kishtwar. Jasmeet Singh Madaan, Distt. President, PDTU has criticized the authorities for not coming to the rescue of these hapless employees who stands by the directions of Election Commission for making the polling exercise a great success despite many hardships and difficulties but at the same time they are feeling disgusted over the ill- treatment meted out to them after elections. It is a clear case of use and throw adopted by the administration towards employees and Mr Jasmeet condemns this type of incident by the administration and assured the agitating protesting employees the whole-hearted support of P.D.T.U. Jasmeet questioned the authorities that why the dilly-dallying tactics are being adopted by the Govt. in bringing back the employees from the polling station. Had it been the case of high-profile leader, the whole administration may have put the Air-Force/Army on the tenter-hooks? |
