Job reservation as admissible under Act 2004 demanded 4/23/2014 12:01:40 AM Early Times Reprot Doda, Apr 22: Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath Memorial Society Doda in a resolution passed today has demanded that the job reservation as admissible under reservation Act 2004 be followed in letter and spirit. It observed that the special component plan (SCP) for SC/ST may be introduced in J&K State in letter and spirit. The special central Assistance (SCA) received against SCP of SC/ST may not be misappropriated or diverted to general plan. That the J&K State scheduled caste Advisory board that has not shown any progress till date and has become almost non functional be made active. The distt scheduled caste advisory committees be constituted in each Distt of Jammu Division to project and monitor the schemes for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society. The basic amenities of life such as roads, potable water, electercity, schools and health services be provided to all Dalit basties with population more than 40% and Hostels for SC boys/ girls be constructed in each Distt. H Q of Jammu Division on the pattern of the Hostel for ST category students.
