Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 22: Kathryn Kelley Memorial Charitable Society (KMS)- a non-government organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living below the poverty line today distributed water filters among the Bakerwal's just ahead of their annual transition. According to press statement, Kelley Memorial Society (KMS) has been working on water projects in North India to improve the quality of drinking water and in Jammu and Kashmir, the KMS helped some nomad by distributing them water filters for their better health. Besides this, KMS also put water filters at their mobile schools so that the school kids can also have safe drinking water, it added. KMS director Abu Adil said that most of these people struggles with lots of health issues during their transition due to drinking bad quality water and these water filters would help them to have quality water at least for drinking purposes. |
