Jammu, June 8: A fire was triggered from across the border resulting in its spread to Jangard forest belt along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, an official said today.
There was a fire in three forest compartments in Jangard belt of Noushera tehsil in Rajouri district since last night, a Forest department official said here.
Forest officials, jawans and locals have launched operation to extinguish fire in these belts, he said, adding that fire in these compartments have been controlled.
There was no loss of life in the fire, he said. |
