BATOTE, June 8 : 118 volunteer followers of Sant Nirankari Mission donated blood to mark the martyrdom of one of the saints of the Mission,Baba Gurbachan Singh at Sant Nirankari Bhavan in a function here today.
The teams from Blood Transfusion Department, Government College and Indian Red Cross Society , Jammu headed by Dr.Vijay Sahni and Hon.Secretary,RC Puri respectively took the blood from the donors after examining them, preserved in a special vehicle and took it to GMC, Jammu The function was inaugurated by the Tehsildar, Ramban, Omprakash Bhagat in presence of , Dr. OP Singh,Naib Tehsildar, Batote, Saifulla Shah ,local Nirankari Mission Incharge, Mulkhraj Bhagat , prominent citizens and hundreds of devotees.
On the occasion a day long Bajan Kirtan and subsequently a Langar was also organized. |
