| Bhandari expresses concern over delay in Rattle HE Project | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Aug 29: A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Senior Congress Leader and Member Kissan Board Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari, wherein a large number of workers participated in the meeting.
While addressing the workers, Bhandari has expressed deep concern over the delay in execution of Rattle H.E. Project (850 MW), Drabshalla due to abandonment of work by the EPC Contractor of GVK Rattle Project, L&T Company and for the last three consecutive months, the execution work is standstill and about 500 workers employed under Land Affected Families are the worst sufferers whose fate is under darkness, as the executing Principal Employer GVK has failed to reach any consensus between the Govt. of J&K State.Bhandari further said that by the opening of the project has given high hopes to all educated unemployed youths and also the Skilled Workmen of Distt. Kishtwar who are experienced and their hopes have dashed to ground due to abandonment of work in Rattle H.E. Project, Drabshalla Kishtwar Bhandari has urged upon the Chief Minister of State to intervene in the matter and bring some concrete and effective steps to resume the execution of Rattle H.E. Project to which the youths of Distt. Kishtwar are keeping their constant eye over the early start of the project. |
