Teacher alongwith her son washed away, one rescued

Udhampur, Oct 8: A woman school teacher and her minor son got washed away in flash floods while another student was rescued while they were crossing River Tawi in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to police sources, a school teacher namely Santosh Kumari, wife of Bittu, resident of village Pachoud was washed away this afternoon alongwith her minor son Ankush (4yrs ) when they were crossing River Tawi near village Thala in Latti tehsil of Udhampur.
Meanwhile another student Kuldeep Kumar who was also accompanying them was rescued by the villagers who were also present on the bank of river. He was rushed to PHC Latti for treatment, sources said.
They added that local Police along with villagers have launched a massive search to fish out bodies of the deceased but till late evening the bodies have yet not traced.
