Jammu, Oct 8: The annual darbar will move to Jammu on October 31 this year and offices will re-open inJAmmu onb November 10, credible sources told Early Times. The darbar is delayed by four days, usually it used to close down on 26 October, but this year it is delayed and now, on 31st October , the darbar will move. The advance party will leave Srinagar on 24th October. As per information, today, Chief Minister held a high level meeting, where a decision on darbar move was taken and it is almost final that the annual darbar will take place on above said dates. The Chief Secretary was also present in the meeting and it is General Administration Department (GAD) which have to take the final call within a day or two. The decision has put an end to rumors suggesting that the darbar shall be delayed by two months this year. Due to recent flash floods, some even suggested that this year the darbar should have taken place well in advance as there was still water inside civil Secretariat and assembly complex. |
