Labourers stage protest, highlight problems 10/8/2014 11:17:10 PM Kathua, Oct 8: A large number of laborers staged protest against Labour Department Kathua and blocked the Kathua-Hatli Morh road for some time on Wednesday. Led by a social worker Vikas Chalotra the protestors alleged the "Labour Department" Kathua which is nodal authority to protect the rights of laborers but it has practically failed to protect rights of labourers. Protestors demanded fair and transparent practice should be adopted in issuing the labor cards without consuming much time. Later, a deputation called on Labour Officer and apprised with their problems.
