VHP criticizes State Govt for 'hostile attitude' towards border migrants | | | Jammu, Oct 8 : Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) has criticized state government for its alleged hostile attitude towards border migrants. According to press release, VHP Mahanagar President Dr. Joginder Pal Sharma expressed his anger about the non-cooperative attitude of the state government in rehabilitating the border migrants who have been forced to vacate their houses due to heavy firing by the Pak troops. "The victims have already dislocated thrice a time during the past 4-5 months & always raised /prayed to the Government for providing the shelter at safer place. During the last 2-3 days almost all the residents residing near the LOC/International Border right from Poonch to Kathua have vacated their dwellings leaving behind all belongings including moveable & immoveable properties & livestock", he said. Dr. Sharma further stated that the state Government is not properly addressing the problems of settlement of refugees & also failed in providing the compensation/ relief to the Border victims. Dr. Sharma asked the Government to take concrete steps on war footing so that the border victims are relieved from their sufferings. Dr. Sharma also appealed to the Central Government that they should also depute a team for assessing their losses immediately. |
