Lightening create havoc in Kishtwar village

Kishtwar, Oct 8: Lightening caused havoc in Kishtwar village making people run for cover as the electric appliances installed in their homes triggered blast. Reports said around 100 residential houses located in Poochal village situated on the outskirts of Kishtwar town suffered damage in a thunder storm that struck the village during the poreceding night.
The authorities including Tehsildar Kishtwar Phulail Singh immediately rushed to the affected village to assess the damages.
While talking to Early Times, Singh said that many villagers suffered damages due to lightening and fall of a mobile tower. He said that during preliminary inquiry, it was found that the mobile company did not follow the prescribed procedure while erecting the mobile tower, beside did not take preventive measures like proper earthing. He said action warranted under section 133 CrPc (Public nuisance) has been initiated against the mobile companies and the losses suffered by the public shall be recovered from them for compensating the victims.
