Pak not following ''golden rules'' of IB, says IG BSF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 8: In the backdrop of continuous ceasefire violations and cross border firing on the international border, Inspector General BSF Jammu Frontier Rakesh Sharma today said that Pakistan is not following "golden rules" of international border. "Pakistan last month fired heavily on forward posts along the international border and also targeted the civilian areas," Mr Sharma here this evening told reporters at the sidelines of a function. The IG said, "Pakistan targeted around 63 BoPs and also firing 82 mm mortar shell in the civilian areas." He further said, "Pakistan is not following "golden rules" of the border and intentionally targeting the civilian areas." He added Pakistan wanted to create disturbance in the state, no matter in Kashmir or in Jammu. On infiltration attempts under the cover of ceasefire violations, the IG said, "we cannot rule out the attempts but so far we do not have any such inputs regarding infiltration attempts." Mr Sharma said there are reports that Pakistan Army might also be helping Pak Rangers and said, "we are on alert and maintaining vigil along the borders." He also added befitting reply is being given to Pakistan.
