CCI Jammu takes up flood losses issue to heads of various insurance companies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 8: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu held a interactive session with the heads and representatives of various public and private Insurance companies including Bajaj Alliance, Reliance General Insurance, HDFC, United India Insurance, New India Insurance Co and National Insurance Company and raised the matter of flood losses to people and industrial sector of state. The interaction was also attended by President Federation of Industries Anil Suri , Balbir Gupta President of Gangyal Industries Association and prominent members of CCI Jammu. During the meeting the insurance companies were urged to settle the claims of the members of the CCI in lieu of the losses they suffered in the recent flash floods speedily and with minimum requirements. The President CCI Jammu Rakesh Gupta while addressing the meeting expressed full faith in the insurance companies but at the same time warned the companies that if any of the genuine claims of the members of CCI are not processed within time and settled then the CCI will go all out against such companies. The President also told the representatives of the Insurance Companies that the damage to the stock in transit and any such stocks lying in transport companies which was damaged should be compensated as per norms immediately. The Representatives of all the insurance companies present in the meeting assured the CCI representatives that despite being facing the shortage of surveyors the claims shall be processed and settled in a very short time |
