International Girl Child Day held at Darhal

Jammu, Oct 11 : To mark International Girl Child Day, BMO Darhal with other health officials and doctors organized a function for the awareness of the girl child in collaboration with the Girls Hr Sec School Darhal.
Speaking on the occasion BMO Darhal talked about the theme for 2014 "Empowering adolescent girls, ending the cycle of violence". BMO Darhal threw some light on the violence against adolescent girls, schemes of the Health and other government department to protect their rights and other health related issues of the girl child.
The school girls were very curious about their rights and health issues which was evident in the question session. Prominent citizens, PRI, NGO members were also present on this occasion Qari Anzar Malik lecturer for Arabic also spoke on the topic and delivered the vote of thanks.
