JAMMU, Oct 11: Cross-border tension has worsened since the day Modi led government has taken over in the center. Relocation after the firing has cost the border dwellers more than what is being imagined. This was stated by President of All India Jat Mahasabha J&K Manmohan Singh who had gone to review conditions of these migrated people. He toured camp and shelter area in Hiranagar, where migrants from villages Chann Khatriyan, Londi, Sherpur, Kattal Gujjra are staying and ITI College and Higher Secondary School where people migrated from villages Chakkran, Murlichak, Babbia, Ganguchak, Ladowal, Bhatti, Nonath and Ghagowal are staying. Choudhary saw their living provisions and appreciated the administration especially the DC for providing these people with shelter and food on time to their satisfaction. He said that the role of the youth in helping out and settling their village residents at the camps is commendable. Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah, in his visit to these camps promised 5 marla of land and RBA status to the border area residents. But Choudhary Manmohan Singh sees this as just a feeble attempt of Govt to console these people. This is something which the Jat leaders are demanding since long. These people are now waiting for government to give them what they have promised.
