KVM holds meeting in Kathua

KATHUA, Oct 11: A meeting of Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) was held here today under the chairmanship of Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, President of the Manch.
Members of executive body and advisory board of the Manch attended the meeting for taking stock of the latest updates of the undertaken projects. Members of the manch expressed satisfaction over the start of construction work of Inter State Bus Stand sanctioned since November 2011. They expressed gratitude to the district Administration and the elected representatives particularly local MLA Charanjit Singh for giving practical shape to long pending demand of people of Kathua.
They also thanked the People and all the members of KVM for extending unstinted support in this context.
The members of the Manch also expressed happiness over the final requisition regarding the establishment of much awaited Kendriya Vidhalaya at Chack Luddan fullfilled and hoped that the construction work in this behalf will be undertaken very shortly in view of the release of funds for KV. Most of the members sought attention of concerned authorities for the construction of link roads to cremation grounds/graveyards in the villages. It was also emphasized that the construction work of MCH Hospital Kathua be taken up according to the plan prepared by the state government through JKPCC instead of renovating the already existing building which has become almost unsafe. Members expressed concern over delay in black topping the Kathua Hatli link road undertaken by GREF way back. All those present in the meeting supported befitting action taken by government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narinder Modi in dealing with the situation along the international border. Meeting was attended by Prof. Saroop Chander, Daya Nand Sharma, Pitamber Dutt Sharma (Gen Secy), Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Mahotra, Om Parkash Sharma, M.N. Sharma, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Des Raj Gupta, Thoru Ram Mahajan, Mehar Singh, Bansi Lal Gupta, Jaswant Singh Jasrotia, Mahinder Gupta, Sardar S.S. Bali and Sat Pal Gupta.
