Awareness campaign on environment organized 10/11/2014 10:06:56 PM Doda, Oct 11: To create awareness among the people living in far flung and hilly area particularly student community about the importance of forests for survival, a programme was organized under National Environment Awareness Compaign on the theme "Biodiversity Conservation" at Government Middle School Thana Zone Bhagwah. PN Bhagat was the Chief guest while CP Thakur was the guest of honour..Ram Parshad and Surjeet Singh of Pvt. Academy Thana were present on the occasion. They also delivered lecture on the Theme "Biodiversity Conservation" Ram Parshad was speaking that WWF & AYC Doda is the Knowledge Partner with ministry of Environment and forest. During the programme a rally of students was flagged off by the CP Thakur who impressed upon the people of the region to conserve biodiversity / forests for maintaining ecological balance and green cover of the area. He asked the people to conserve the rich flora and fauna a local herb (Nag Chhatri) of the area and plant more and more trees. He appreciated the efforts of working teaching staff viz Chander Bushan Head Teacher,.
