LeT hideout busted in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 11: In a joint operation Kishtwar Police and army today claimed to have busted a terror hideout of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist outfit in Kishtwar district of Jammu province of state on Saturday morning. While talking to "Early Times", Additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom said that on the basis of the tip off, a Joint operation was launched by Kishtwar Police in association with 8 RR in Maalghote Dhar forests in Kither area of Kishtwar District and busted a terror hideout and recovered huge cache of Arms/Ammunition and explosives. "The seized Arms/Ammunition/Explosives include one 52 mm Mortar, one SLR Rifle, two Pistol Pak made, one Radio set Kenwood, 12 UBGL Grenade, 10 Hand Grenades, 6 mortar bomb, 3 Magazines of SLR, 2 Magazine of Pistol, 417 Rounds of 7.62 mm and 12 bore Rounds 38, he said and added, "the recovery is a serious setback to anti-national elements which will certainly prove detrimental to revival of militancy in the area." Addition SP Kishtwar further added that a case U/S 7/25/27 Indian Arms Act and 4/5 Explosive Substance Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and further investigation is on. He said that the major tragedy has been averted by District Police and 8 RR as if suchj a war like store had gone into the hands of anti social elements the things would certainly would turn risky. Maalghote Dhar belt of Kishtwar District has remained highly infested with militancy in the past.. |
