Community resents over administration's ignorance Vishawakarma day celebrated 10/24/2014 10:27:57 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Oct 24: Amid lack of promotion of community and places belong to it, the Vishawakarma day was celebrated here at Vishawakarma temple with full zeal and enthusiasm. Every year, thousands of devotees belonging to Vishawakarma community or who linked in technical works joined the celebration at Vishawakarma temple Kathua with great pomp and show to stand them as a recognized community in Kathua. But still lacking promotional, strong rational and fair political back-up due to which Sabha is not being proved as useful institution for delivering services for the betterment of thousands of its population, which stays remain in their homes as deprived of all basic privileges. Majority population of Vishawakarma community not only across the J&K state but also in District Kathua is the victim of poverty and deprived of all basic needs and even dominated by some influential people within the community as well as by other communities who ruled ever in their areas in so many forms. Due to lack of political understanding the population has seen in-effective to get its rights. The approach just confined up to the celebration of the 'God Vishawkarma Day' is not enough it requires political motivation and education that can be expanded up to the grass root level. However, the community is blessed with a great technical minds and hands but not given the justice as per their share in development. The origin of community is believed from Lord Vishawakarma who is considered the Divine Architect or the 'Dev Shilpi' and son of Brahma according to Hindu mythology. It is also believed that most of the mythological architectures are the handiwork of Vishawkarma and even the main architect of the Universe. It is should be matter of pride for entire Vishawkarma community that it has played and has been playing a key role in development of the society by constructing infrastructures across the world where as God Vishawakarma was believed as the architect of all the places where the Gods reside and designer of all the flying chariots of the Gods, and their weapons.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
