JSM merges into BJP; Cong Ex-Mayor, refugee, NPP leaders join Party

JAMMU, Nov 7: After the merger of Socialist Democratic Party (SDP) in BJP last week, the Party received another shot in arm today with the merger of Prof Virender Gupta's Jammu State Morcha (JSM) and joining of senior Congress leader' Ex-Mayor & prominent Jaat leader Manmohan Singh Choudhary into Party fold.
Mr Choudhary joined the Party along with hundreds of his supporters besides over a dozen prominent citizens. Besides the president of Refugee Sadar Sabha and a ex PRO of a Cabinet Minister, Pawan Sharma who resigned from the Government service last month and senior Panthers Party leader from Kishtwar, Anil Parihar joined the BJP.
However for Parihar it was a home coming as he had resigned from BJP over six years back and joined the JKNPP. Mr Parihar had worked as State president of BJYM youth wing of BJP also.
The new entrants were welcomed into the Party fold by BJP State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, Election Campaign Committee Chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh, State vice-president Vibodh Gupta, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, State spokespersons Farooq Khan and Sunil Sethi, BJYM Ex-National president Ram Ashok Rai, Jammu-Poonch Prabhari Yudhvir Sethi and other senior leaders.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while welcoming the new entrants, said that more and more people are joining the Party as Narendera Modi wave has made them to realize that BJP is the need of the hour and parties like Congress, NC and PDP need to be shown the door for policies which resulted into mis-governance, nepotism, corruption, discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh etc.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that the BJP has been receiving overwhelming response in all the three regions of the State and the Mission 44+ is now heading towards Mission 54+. He assured that the Party will end dynastic rule, give good governance and corruption free administration.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the growing graph of popularity of BJP is making the leaders of other parties frustrated and they are finding it difficult to face the people while BJP leaders are being given warm receptions at the public meetings.
Farooq Khan said that the wave for change is going to write a new chapter in J&K and it will be the strong repost to those who have been running their shops on the name of Kashmir. Sunil Sethi said that the BJP Parivar is expanding and getting more strengthened with the joining of people of high stature and this process is going to accelerate. Manmohan Choudhary said that his decision to join BJP is the outcome of the inspiration by the honest approach of Narendra Modi for development.
Prof. Varinder Gupta, Anil Parihar and Pawan Sharma assured to work wholeheartedly to ensure the victory of BJP candidates. Yudhvir Sethi said that the BJP has become a popular name among the people of the State irrespective of their religion, region, caste and creed. Besides JJSF Ex-President Naveen Sharma and Dy. SP (retd) Vijay Gupta also joined BJP alongwith their supporters. BJP State Secretary Munish Sharma conducted the proceedings of the function.
