Ajatshatru Singh set to join BJP in New Delhi soon | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 7: If latest political grapevine is to be believed younger son of Dr Karan Singh, MK Ajat Shatru Singh is going to join the BJP shortly in the presence of senior party leaders in the national capital. Ajat Shatru Singh was originally scheduled to join the party in Jammu but due to some last minute changes the joining ceremony had to be postponed and now it is expected to take place in New Delhi soon. The BJP leaders privy to the close door developments maintained that younger son of Dr Karan Singh was keen on joining the party in the presence of senior party leaders preferably central BJP leadership. When it was clear that in the wake of busy schedule of central leaders it was not possible for them to travel to Jammu in the coming days Ajat Shatru Singh decided to join the party in New Delhi. He is expected to contest the Nagrota Assembly seat and give tough fight to the NC provincial President Devender Singh Rana. Earlier, his elder brother Vikramaditya had joined the PDP in Jammu in August 2014. Ajat Shatru Singh had earlier represented the Nagrota Assembly constituency in 1996 and failed to win the seat in 2002 and 2008 Assembly polls. He was later moved to upper house in the state legislature by National Conference
