Doda, Nov 13: As a part of ongoing preparation for smooth, free and fair conduct upcoming assembly elections 2014 in the district scheduled to be held on November 25, a second level randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was held in Deputy Commissioner's Office Doda here today. According to official spokesperson, the randomization process was held in presence of General Observer 54-Bhaderwah Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, General Observer Doda Dev Raj Dev, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda, Imam Din, Returning Officer Doda (ACR Doda) S.C Dogra, Returning Officer Bhaderwah (SDM Bhaderwah) Bhupinder Kumar, besides representatives of different political parties and independent candidates contesting of the district were also present during the randomization process. During the randomization of EVMs, General Observers apprised that randomization is being done with specific software provided by the ECI. Representatives of political parties and representatives of contesting candidates were apprised to direct their Polling Booth agents cooperate the officials concerned so that polling activities are conducted in a hassle free manner by the Presiding Officer. Later on the printed copies of randomised data of the Control and Ballot Units was also distributed among the representatives of Political Parties and Representatives of Independent Contesting candidates for ready reference. |
