BARAMULLA, Nov 13: Seeking a strong and decisive mandate for his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed addressed a party workers convention in Dak Bungalow of Baramulla Town in North Kashmir on Thursday.Seeking a strong and decisive mandate for his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today declared that his government would change the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir and its people during the next six years. He said that "Give my party a decisive mandate in the upcoming assembly elections and I assure you that with the help of Allah the new government headed by PDP would mark a dawn of new hope for the State,"
He said there will be decisive movement forward on political, economic and developmental fronts transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a politically stable and economically prosperous state. "My sole objective is to end the pain and miseries of the people of Jammu and Kashmir once for all and provide them a government that strives for their larger political empowerment and inclusive prosperity, "I don't believe in rhetoric and mud-slinging for political survival, but has strong faith in the fact that people value only performance and delivery, Mufti said. "The only way forward for Jammu and Kashmir today is to elect a strong, stable and effective government which can safeguard its distinct political and economic interests," he added. He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir, more than ever before, are today yearning for change, not only to see the worst ever regime out, but to seek the resolution of political and economic issues that matter to them.
"PDP has become the first choice of the people as it symbolizes sincerity, hope, optimism, vision and a deep commitment to equality and justice," he said and added that the only way forward for Jammu and Kashmir today is to choose a government that has the commitment and seriousness to face-up to the challenges confronting the State.
"While on the other hand the signposts of landmark developmental interventions made by the PDP government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during its brief tenure of three years are visible in every nook and corner of the State in the shape of new universities, new institutions, colleges, power projects, flyovers, roads, tourism development authorities, and other programs so on and so forth, he said. He added, we promise you people that super specialist colleges will be made here we want to build Hi-tech engineering college in Baramulla district. Addressing the convention, parliament member and senior leader, Muzaffar Hussian Beigh complimented the PDP cadres for having successfully and effectively carried the party's political and economic agenda to the grassroots level. He said the PDP cadres sacrificed their personal interests for the larger objective of ensuring peace and dignity for the State and its people. "It is because of the untiring efforts of the PDP cadres that their party has today become a real people's movement across Jammu and Kashmir," He said having suffered terribly during the past six years under NC-Congress anarchist regime, the people feel that they have had enough of it and want a relied regime under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayed to pull the State out of the morass and put it back on the track of peace, progress and development. Beigh said that we won the parliamentary elections with a huge margin, and I am sure that with a single largest party we will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir. Without naming any party he said that our party welcomes those who want to join our party, doors are open for them, addressing the workers he said that let you decide the fate of yourself, and of the state. PDP leaders Imran Raza Ansari, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Janak Singh Sodi, also addressed the rally, Javid Beigh, Ashiq Hussain Khan, Raja Aijaz Ali Khan, Mir Yawar and other well known political workers were also present.
