Samba, Nov 13: Continuing its drive against the narcotics and bovine smugglers, the Police teams following the direction of SSP Anil Mangotra, today arrested one person alongwith 3 kgs of charas which was recovered from his possession during naka checking at Mansar Road
Police sources said, " A police team led by Dy SP Vijaypal Singh(H Q), SHO Samba laid a surprise naka on Mansar Road and naka team intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK03C-1903.' During thorough search of truck police team recovered 3 kgs of Charas from the vehicle, police sources said adding, " the driver was arrested on the spot while vehicle too was seized." The accused have been identified namely as Mustaq Ahmed Rather s/o Mohd Yusaf r/o Simthan Bijbehara Anantnag."
During preliminary questioning accused disclosed that the consignment was to be delivered from Kashmir to Punjab. Accordingly, a case against FIR No. 194/2014 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Samba and further investigation is on |
